Our Partnership with the American Red Cross
Every day, 7 people die in home fires—most often in homes without working smoke alarms. That’s why Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity is proud to partner with the American Red Cross Home Fire Campaign to help keep families safe in Lake and Geauga counties.

Through this partnership, we offer affordable, life-saving safety and emergency gear at ReStore. Every purchase supports Habitat’s mission and helps fund free smoke detector installations for local households.

In addition to raising awareness, we provide free smoke detectors and installation for eligible homes in Lake and Geauga counties, including:
-
Adults age 60 and older
-
Households with an older adult living in the home

If you or someone in your household may qualify, we encourage you to apply below.
