Donate Land

To build houses, we need to secure land to build on! Our successful model has always relied on land “donations” in some form. Donating your land to Lake-Geauga Habitat in Lake and Geauga Counties supports our mission and provides you with potential tax benefits. Whether you choose to donate now or bequeath it for future use, your contribution will be instrumental in creating much-needed affordable housing. Real estate agents with clients who have an “unusable” parcel of land can also donate to Lake-Geauga Habitat for a tax deduction. We are very interested in discussing how we might use your land to create much needed affordable housing in Lake and Geauga Counties. Donating a single-family home to Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity not only significantly impacts local families, providing them with a safe and affordable place to live, but also provides you, the donor, with substantial tax benefits. If your property meets our rehab requirements, we would be delighted to take it off your hands and sell it to help expand homeownership opportunities in Lake and Geauga Counties.
