What is a Faith Build?
A Faith Build is a collaborative home construction or rehabilitation project that brings together diverse faith communities across Lake and Geauga counties to build a safe, affordable home for a local family. In partnership with Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity and the future homeowner(s), congregations come together to live out their faith through service, generosity, and prayer.
Why it matters:
More than just building a house, Faith Build strengthens our local community by uniting people of different faiths, fostering respectful and lasting relationships, and sharing a message of compassion, care, and unity. Through responsible stewardship of the resources entrusted to us, Faith Build creates a tangible, local impact that extends well beyond the build site.
The impact your church can make:
By making a Faith Build Church Pledge, your congregation commits to walking alongside Habitat and a partner family in ways that reflect your church’s unique gifts and capacity. Churches may support the project through financial contributions, volunteer service, meal and hospitality support, leadership coordination, congregational engagement, and prayer—each playing a meaningful role in bringing this home to life.
