Meet the homeowner.

Juana is a hardworking single mom of two who was born and raised in Painesville, where she is now raising her own family. Her children love reading, soccer and painting, and Juana is working hard to build a bright future for them while balancing full-time work and college as she pursues a career in the medical field.

After years of renting, Juana dreamed of having a place her family could truly call their own. A friend introduced her to Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity, and she quickly saw the program as more than a path to homeownership—it was also an opportunity to learn new skills, volunteer and become even more involved in her community.

​

When Juana learned she had been accepted into Habitat’s Homeownership Program, she described herself as “surprised, excited and happy.”

​

Now, Juana and her children are at the heart of an especially exciting milestone: Home #100 for Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity. As construction continues, Juana is working alongside volunteers and completing her sweat equity hours as she prepares for the day her family can finally call this house home.
